A new section…

Date: 6th Jun 2021 Author: Mike Sinfield

In the UK, there are currently five Scout sections which young people aged 6 to 25 can join. In age order, they are: Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Network. We currently run Beavers, Cubs and Scouts in Davenham. Explorers are found in various other local Groups. And Network are run by Mid Cheshire District Scouts.

This year, the UK Scout Association has announced their plans for a new section, called Squirrels, which will be for young people aged 4 and 5. If you, or someone you know, would like to see a Squirrels section in Davenham, make sure to come along to the AGM this summer and have a chat to the executive committee.

The first trial Squirrels sections will open in September this year but we can open one in Davenham one whenever parents are ready after then. You can find out more from the UK Scout Association by clicking here.
