Centenary Scout Hall received full planning permission in August 2023. Before we can put spades in the ground, we need to develop detailed technical drawings which explain every detail of how the new hall will be put together. To name just a few examples, this includes: what steel will be used in what areas of the building, where electrical outlets will be located, and a detailed plan of fire doors, extinguishers and smoke alarms. Out Technical Committee are working hard to produce these documents however the process is expected to take some time, especially because we are doing it on a very tight budget. Once the documents are prepared we will put them into a tender pack for construction companies to use when preparing their bids.

The construction of the building will be financed by a combination of our own funds and grants from various organisations. We have already begun preparing applications for grants, and hope to have the first applications submitted soon.
