Sponsored Bike Ride

Date: 5th Sep 2024 Author: Gwenda Goodman

Our intrepid Beavers want to do their bit to help raise money for a new Scout Hall, so they are getting on their bikes!

Monday Beavers will do laps of Davenham Park. Between them, they hope to cover the equivalent distance of cycling from Peckmill Scout Wood to Gilwell Park in London (where Scouting began) – a mammoth 183 miles!

Friday Beavers will be tackling the Whitegate Way – from Winsford to Whitegate Station. Look out for them on 27 September and give them a cheer!

Please sponsor them if you can, by clicking on the ‘Make a Donation’ button at the top of our homepage (www.davenhamscouts.org.uk)

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
