You can apply to 1st Davenham Scouts online, or by calling into one of our meetings.
Some of our sections occasionally get over-subscribed and we have to start a waiting list. It’s hard to predict how long the wait may be, based on just the number of people on the list. If you’re currently on the waiting list you can rest assured that we’ll contact you as soon as a space becomes available.
Subs are paid termly and are currently £45. If you pay income tax, you can add Gift Aid which doesn’t cost you anything, but lets us claim an extra 25%!
Some activities, such as camps or trips, have extra fees.
Scouting is an inclusive organisation and we don’t want to see any young people missing out because of financial worries. If you’re struggling to pay any fees associated with scouting, please speak to one of your Section Leaders.
We use Online Scout Manager (OSM) to manage our Sections. We often post important information on OSM so it’s important that, as parents, you have access to it. If you have lost or forgotten your parent portal password, let your Section Leader know and they can send you a link to reset it.
Squirrels is the newest Scouting section offered to young people in the UK. We don’t currently have a Squirrels section in Davenham, but if you’re interested in helping us to set one up then you can contact us through our contact page.
Squirrels is a section for young people aged 4-6 years old. To find other local Squirrels sections, you should contact Mid Cheshire Scouts.
