Welcome to our fundraising section.

As most of you know the Scout Association is a charity, all the leaders in each Scout Group are volunteers who give up their time and effort for free. This is why we as a group have to spend a lot of time on fundraising each year in order to have the facilities and equipment to provide a balanced programme for the young people.

Part of this is done through the weekly subs and Gift Aid declarations, the monies from this enable us to pay the rental and bill payments for the group every year. So when we need extra kit or equipment such as tents, tables and sports equipment etc. We have to do this through extra fundraising.

Now and then each section will do their own little fundraising events or activities in order to support other charities or buy specific items for their section.

We currently have 4 simple ways of raising funds for 1st Davenham Scouts

Easyfundraising and easysearch have so far subsidised:

	a wall climbing activity for Scouts
	coach travel to Manchester airport for Beavers
	a parachute for Cubs
	Donation towards District Camp for Cubs/Beavers and Scouts
	Donation towards Cub Hike to MacDonalds
	Donation towards Beavers Christmas Party
